Work Preparation Engineer

At Precona, we distinguish ourselves through years of experience in the fabrication and welding of high-quality, certified products. We manage the entire process: from engineering and material procurement to fabrication, welding, testing, and surface treatment.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Work Preparation Engineer who ensures that our projects are technically and organizationally prepared to perfection. The primary focus of this role is work preparation, with procurement activities serving as a supporting responsibility.

What will you do?

• Prepare material and labor requirements based on technical drawings;
• Receive, process, and distribute technical drawings;
• Prepare cutting drawings and production documentation;
• Transfer drawings and specifications to the production department;
• Monitor production and assembly schedules and progress;
• Coordinate and supervise outsourced work;
• Monitor delivery times for materials and subcontracted activities;
• Support the procurement of materials, components, and services;
• Maintain contact with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and technical requirements;
• Identify bottlenecks and ensure appropriate solutions are implemented.

Who are you?

• Completed technical education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
• Experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge of process components and piping systems in the food industry is an advantage;
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems;
• Experience with 3D design and CAD software such as Inventor and/or SolidWorks is a strong advantage;
• Good command of both Dutch and English.
